Universal Infant Free School Meals for Reception Year 1 and Year 2

All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to receive "free lunches at school" under the “Universal Infant Free School Meal” scheme. This is a current government funding decision that has been in place since September 2014.

KS2 pupils  Free school meals for all pupil extended to July 2025

The Mayor of London is extending funding of free school meals for all pupils to end of July 2025. This means that primary school aged children who attend a state funded school in London will continue to receive a healthy, nutritious meal.

Some pupils are eligible for extra funding from the government, worth over £1,300 per year. Before the Mayor's programme, these pupils would have received a free school meal based on their family's income. It is very important that these families continue to register for the extra funding:

  • This gives the school more money to offer extra-curricular activities, teacher development and support for children who need it most.
  • This means families also receive other benefits they are entitled to, like food vouchers during school holidays.

If you think you are entitled to extra help, please speak with the school office staff.

    Packed Lunches

Food brought to school, as a packed lunch, should be healthy as we encourage children to become health conscious and eat a healthy lunch.

Please give your child food they like to eat and remember fizzy drinks, crisps, chocolates and sweets are not allowed!

Packed Lunch boxes will need to be sent with your child each morning, clearly labelled with your child's name and class.  The school does not allow glass bottles.

If on any occasion you do forget to give your child a packed lunch, your child will be provided with a healthy hot school meal for which you will be charged by the Catering Company.
