WELCOME TO YEAR 6
Class Teacher: Mrs Dhak
Teaching Assistant & SEN/D Support: Mrs Bunn
PE Kit needed: Tuesday and Wednesday
We had a great evening yesterday. Miss Jacky caught Wisdom out in cricket (miracles do happen). It was such an enjoyable evening but everyone was exhausted yet happy at the end of the day. We all had to be dragged out of bed after sleeping like logs.
Breakfast went down a treat and Mrs. Cunningham managed to eat it with her eyes closed. We are looking forward to another fun day but are sad that it is coming to the end of our time at Sayers Croft.
The girls were the last to go to sleep (lots of talking) after a lovely first day. The boys have been up since 5am! Keen to go or what?
We are all looking forward to our breakfast and it looks like it will be a beautiful day with a blue sky all around. Mrs Dhak has been encouraging the children and everyone took part in all the activities including Miss Jacky who got stuck in the cave.
Today we are looking forward to shelter building, team challenges, orienteering and swimming.
We had great fun dodging the showers and loved the caving and, of course, football.
We had a bit of rain but the sun conquered and it is now shining. We have done the rope course and are off to the Zip Wire. Mrs Dhak is gasping for a cup of tea but having fun too!
It was all very exciting in Year 6 this morning. Mrs Dhak was ready for action in her Sayers Croft clothes. The parents were in the playground waiting to wave the children goodbye and some had a little tear in their eyes.
Now the children are on the coach and are even more excited with shouts of, "When are we there, Miss?" with Mrs Cunningham reminding them that they were still in Southall.
The children arrived safely and ready to go. After unpacking and meeting the team they had their first session. When lunch time arrived (a very popular time), the children were amazed at the choice of food. One child said, "This is 5 Star". The group is now ready for the afternoon activities.
