Kandinsky Inspired Art
In class we looked at the life of Wassily Kandinsky, a Russian Artist. As a young man he became a teacher until he reached the age of thirty when he decided on a career change to become an artist. He was heavily influenced by his love of music, especially Jazz. He stated that he could see colours and shapes when he listened to music. In class we listened to different Jazz pieces and followed in his footsteps to create our own masterpieces. The video shows us working. See if you can spot instruments and other musical symbols in our finished paintings.
